Whitney's Sleeping Patterns
Both of my girls have really always been pretty good sleepers. Thank Goodness! However, sometime last fall Whitney started coming into our bedroom and sleeping on the floor. She wouldn't even make a peep. She would bring her blankets and just hit the floor. For a while, when we would discover that she was in our room, we would take her back to bed. That got old pretty fast though. Since this continued for quite some time, I even got her a sleeping bag. I would lay it out every night when we were going to bed. Then over spring break she began sleeping in the bottom half of the bunk beds in Kate's room, and she was staying in bed all night. Wahoo! We thought that we had finally solved our problem. Well, then she just decided she wanted to sleep in her bed again. For the first couple of nights she appeared on our floor again. Then Trevor promised her chocolate milk in the morning if she stayed in bed all night. She did and she continued to. A few days later when Trevor gave her her morning milk she began to cry. When he asked her why she was crying she said, "I stayed in my bed." She now has chocolate milk every morning for breakfast, but at least she is staying in bed.
