We're Not That Far From Bethlehem

This Christmas season Kate really enjoyed the song We're Not That Far From Bethlehem by Point of Grace. She would request it in the car and then we would proceed to belt it out. Oh, how I love those moments. We enjoyed decorating the tree. The girls each have their own box of ornaments that they get to add to yearly. Aunt Lisa came over and made some Christmas cookies with the girls while mommy and daddy went shopping. Kate and Whitney love how Aunt Lisa always makes time to make cookies with them. Kate even had a chef Birthday gift that she was waiting to break out for the occasion.  Aunt Lisa even took them to Target to buy a Christmas present for mom and dad.  Kate was so funny about buying the gifts and what she thought we needed.  We both ended up getting pajamas.  She thought Trevor definitely needed some pajamas with a shirt and that I would love some dress pajamas.  She really did a great job.  I really enjoyed being home on Christmas Eve so that we were able to go to our church service.  We ended up sitting right next to some friends with little girls (I wasn't sure that was going to work out), and really enjoyed the service.  Kate definitely enjoyed the singing and was singing her loudest and proudest.  It was great!  There is nothing like worshipping with your kids.  Whitney was even a little bummed the next time we went to church because she didn't get to go to Big Church.  The girls both enjoyed the lighting of the candles and did a great job.  When we came home from church Santa had already stopped by.  He must have gotten our message that we were leaving super early in the morning to go to Disney World.  The girls got Belle dresses, pink bears, and stocking goodies from Santa.  We proceeded to have pizza for dinner with Aunt Lisa and then open the rest of our presents.  Pizza on Christmas Eve has been a tradition in my family that must be carried on.  After we opened presents we had our Happy Birthday Jesus cupcakes!  It was a great evening.
