This year for spring break we made the trek to Mesa, AZ to visit Trevor's parents and grandparents. We left Friday afternoon and stayed in Amarillo, NM that night. Then we proceeded on to Mesa the next morning. The girls did great in the car. On Saturday we just hung out with the family. Kate got to sleep under a table that we turned into a fort for her. She thought it was pretty cool. On Sunday we went to the Royals spring training game. It was a great way to celebrate Trevor's Birthday. On Monday Trevor and I went golfing with Kate and really enjoyed seeing her swinging the golf club, however, we quickly found out that retirement communities are not too found of youngsters on the course. Oh well! It was still a good first outing for Kate. On Tuesday we visited a Petting Zoo and then started the trek home again. Whitney was so funny at the petting zoo. When we got out of the car Kate walked over to look at a cow and Whitney started throwing a fit because she did not want Kate to get too close to the cow. Kate enjoyed feeding the animals, giving a bottle to a calf, and riding a horse with mommy. Whitney was happy to just watch. It was a great way to wrap up our visit to Mesa. We enjoyed seeing Opa and Oma and spending time with the whole family.
