Magic Kingdom! We thought we would go to Magic Kingdom as soon as possible so that we could make sure that Kate got to see Mickey Mouse right away. After strategizing, we decided to hit Fantasyland first and then Mickey's Toontown. We actually made it to the park before it opened and were in line with several (hundred) people to enter the park. Jessica and Kate rode Dumbo first with just a little wait and then we all walked right on to the carousel. Next was the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, which we rode twice since it was no wait and so nice and cool. Trevor and Kate proceeded to spin in circles on the Mad Tea Party. After that it was time to see some characters. We saw the fairies first. Please don't ask me what their names are because I don't know. Kate was not sure about them at first, but warmed up pretty quickly. Then we headed over to see Mickey and Minnie. I'm glad we saw the fairies first, so that Kate would know what to expect. The line was a little long, but the fact that it was cool and that we could watch TV while we waited made it very worth it. We were at the end of the line once we got in the room with Mickey and Minnie. As we waited Kate would wave at Mickey and Minnie and call out there names. She was excited! When it was our turn she went right up and talked her jibber jabber, and had them sign her autograph book. She gave them some hugs and took pictures. The day was officially a success! Mickey's PhilharMagic was next, and was a delightful 3D show. After a little snack we watched Dream Along with Mickey and then headed over to storytime with Belle. At this point Kate was beginning to fade and she decided she did not want to stay for the storytime. We left Magic Kingdom around 12:30pm and went back to our hotel for lunch and naptime. We all slept from about 2-4:30pm. We were tuckered out. After another snack we hit the pool for a bit, came back and had dinner, and headed back to Magic Kingdom for the parade. Once there we hopped right on the train to Toontown, where Kate rode a little roller coaster with Trevor. Then we made our way over to It's a Small World Afterall. After that it was time to steak out our spot for the parade. We found a good one right by the rope in Frontierland and sat down and waited for the parade. Kate really enjoyed seeing all of her favorite characters. She waved and said Hi to Goofy, Minnie, and Mickey. Snow White and Grumpy even stopped by to say Hello to her. Once again the day seemed like a success! After the parade we headed out to catch the ferry to view the fireworks as we left. It worked out almost perfectly, and it's a good thing we left when we did because Kate is a little scared of fireworks. We got back to the hotel about 11pm and put the girls straight to bed. They really did well staying up late, but how will they do tomorrow? We had a great day and actually only paid to park. We didn't even spend any money inside Magic Kingdom today. Yippee! My favorite parts of the day were watching Kate's face light up as she met Mickey and Minnie and then again as she watched them in the parade. I also loved it when Whitney was practically delirious on the ferry and kept trying to kiss me and laughing about it.
