Kate, Whitney and I set out for the zoo on Friday. It was a great day outside and hardly anyone was there. As members of the Fort Worth Zoo, we like to go a lot. This was our first time to use the wagon with Whitney, and it was a success. Kate decided that we should see the monkeys first. They weren't really all that exciting that day, but low and behold the cheetahs decided to walk out in the open. I actually got my act together enough to take our lunch and it was really nice to sit down to fill our tummies. Kate ate her typical peanut butter and jelly along with an apple that we shared and some goldfish. Whitney had some baby food and stretched out in the wagon for her bottle. I ate my typical yogurt and granola in addition to the apple. It was a great lunch. Then we made it just in time to board the train. We always ride the train if it is working. Once we got off the the train we ventured back to Texas Wild, but made it a speedy trip as Whitney was starting to fade. Kate got to pick one more animal she would like to see on the way out which was the Penguins. Unfortunately they weren't swimming, but oh well. We arrived at 10:00am when it opened and were on our way home by noon. Kate's job on the way home was to try to keep Whitney awake, and she did a good job. Whitney surprisingly didn't appear that tired. When we got home it was nap time, and they both slept a couple of hours. What a nice day! I even got to finish off the day by watching a movie with my hubby. It just doesn't get a whole lot better than that.
